Data You Give Us Directly
Information is collected only when a visitor chooses to provide it through a function made available on the site. It may include a name, email address, and the text of a message. Do not send Social Security numbers, financial account data, full dates of birth, private court filings, or other sensitive identifiers. Official Kiowa County record requests belong with the Combined Court clerk.
Data We Gather Automatically
Ordinary server and analytics records may capture an IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location, and visit time. Cookies or similar tools may help the site function, measure traffic, remember preferences, and evaluate content use. Browser settings can limit cookies, although doing so may affect features.
What We Do With This Data
Collected data may be used to operate and secure the site, understand traffic, diagnose errors, improve content, respond to a direct message, and enforce site terms. It may also help detect abuse or unlawful access. Personal information is not sold as a court-record product.
No Court-Record Data on File
Kiowa County Court Docket does not host the Judicial Branch hearing calendar, the Colorado register of actions, or clerk case files. Court records remain with their official custodians. Public access to Colorado case files is governed by Chief Justice Directive 05-01, the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act where applicable, the Children’s Code, court orders, and related Judicial Branch rules.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search tools embedded on content pages may be operated by outside companies with their own privacy practices, prices, and terms. Information entered into those tools goes to the provider, not to the Kiowa County Combined Court. Review the provider’s notices before submitting data. Partner results are not official or certified court records.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Colorado Judicial Branch pages, local government resources, courts, or private services. Those destinations control their own content and data practices. This policy does not apply after a visitor leaves this site.
Who Might See Your Data
Service providers may process limited information needed for hosting, analytics, security, or site functions. Information may also be disclosed when law requires it, to protect rights or safety, to investigate misuse, or during a business transfer. No promise of confidentiality applies to information voluntarily placed in an outside search form.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to reduce unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, so absolute protection cannot be guaranteed. Visitors should avoid submitting sensitive case facts or personal identifiers.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly seek personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information should use the available site contact route.
Your Data Rights
Depending on applicable law, a visitor may have rights to ask about, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data held by this site. These rights do not control records held by Colorado courts. Requests concerning a Kiowa County court file must follow the clerk’s access process and applicable court rules.
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change as site practices, technology, or legal requirements change. A revised version becomes effective when posted. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the current policy.
